Ogni piatto è eseguito in modo unico e bilanciato in modo perfetto.

Ho assolutamente amato mangiare qui".

Everything was perfect, fave drink was lychee martini and in the morning strawberry matcha. For dinner we loved the rib eye, ceviche, tuna tartar and chicken the most. The Caesar salad was unique and I really enjoyed it. Miso eggplant also great! We were so full and didn’t think we could eat any more but The sorbet at the end was delicious, super light and refreshing. Service was friendly, atmosphere very pretty.

I am a Japanese, well-traveled, multicultural, Elite Yelper foodie. Kodo restaurant is my first Japanese-American fusion restaurant I’ve ever been pleased with. I usually don’t enjoy fusion restaurants because it just means it’s not authentic and won’t be quality, but this one was unique yet still authentic blending Japanese food with American in a complimentary twist. I stayed at this hotel in their best suite for a fun weekend getaway in LA, so when I found out they had a Michelin star restaurant and Japanese chef downstairs… I had to make a reservation being the foodie that I am. All Japanese are major foodies. Even on our social media we sometimes just would rather post food than selfies of ourselves. The wait time to book for dinner reservations went out three months, but being Japanese I believe they gave me special treatment which was appreciated. And they even brought my food to my room as room service because I was just too tired from my night out at a special holiday party to dine in at the restaurant for dinner as planned. It was so delicious that I also ordered lunch from the restaurant and breakfast from their cafe too! The pasta was my favorite for dinner. The burger was my favorite for lunch. The iced matcha coconut drink & the yuzu pastry were my favorites for breakfast(from the cafe)... so much that I ordered a dozen upon check out to give to family & friends. Kodo(hotel & restaurant & cafe) is Japanese-approved. I will post another review in Japanese as well for Japanese who only speak Japanese soon from my other google account. 🇯🇵🥢

The hotel experience was absolutely excellent. The smaller format (only 8 rooms) really makes you feel special. The staff are all extremely friendly and accommodating, and frequently went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect.

The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and delicious drinks and pastries. For lunch, I highly recommend the blue crab roll. The yuzu soda is made fresh to order, and blew me away.

For dinner, we tried the Dine LA 4 course menu, which was seriously fantastic. Each course is better than the last, and the ribeye was to die for.

Thank you so much to the whole Kodō staff for treating us so well and making sure our little arts district date night became a truly memorable get away!

i think this place knocks it out of the park on the aesthetic. ive been here a few times and the service is mid at best but who cares, its a coffee shop. their hot drinks when served to stay, is a cute little experience since they serve it in proper dishware versus a paper cup (at least in my experience). the sesame latte was sooooo good! the downside was my most recent experience, i got matcha drink and it was just not great. it was like pure milk. you can tell in the picture my drink is like a faiiiiint green. maybe thats just bc of my drink of choice (the coconut matcha drink) but def wasnt a fan fave.

Came to Kodo on Saturday for lunch. My wife had it on her listing of places to try and so glad she wanted to come! The decor and atmosphere was refined and contemporary. Perfect for Japanese food. The food was very well executed! Tasteful and portion was surprisingly decent. Service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for lunch and now want to try their dinner menu.

Sleek minimalist Tokyo style cafe occupying the lobby space of Kodo hotel, inside a 100+ year old old Los Angeles firehouse. Great matcha. Beautiful, hidden space.

The spicy tuna crispy rice was out of this world. Everything else we had was delicious, the salmon the Toro tuna... Can't go wrong here!
