My girlfriend and I camped here with our 4x4 rooftop tent for two nights and had an incredible time. Gama and his brother, as well as their friends were wonderful and helpful people. They gave us tips for seeing waterfalls and some local hotspot knowledge that made us feel less like tourists and more like friends. We will definitely come back and camp here next time we visit!

I spent 3 nights here in June, and had the most incredible stay. Gama welcomed me to stay on their property, and was kind and hospitable. The grounds are located close to the El Tigre waterfalls, which was one of my favourite excursions in Monteverde. The campground gives an incredible view down over the Gulf of Nicoya, and if you are lucky, you can watch thunderstorms roll through the valley as you lounge in a hammock. I was able to pitch my tent on a wooden platform with a roof over it, so you have shelter from the rain. There is a mini fridge, small cooking area and sink for washing up, though it helps to have some of your own supplies, you can get by with everything there. I loved the property, and had a great experience staying here. Gama and the family were all very welcoming, and treat their guests like family. If you like camping, and being out in nature, this is definitely a great spot to stay! I hope to stay here again next time I return to Monteverde.

An adventure to get to which made it super fun. The brothers were very accommodating and very lax about their humble space. The “camping grounds” weren’t the typical as it was just a small plot where they were camping themselves. It seemed like an in between phase while they were building up their house and developing the land. We were able to choose where we wanted to set up and have a fire with their firewood. They also said we could use their facilities like sink, fridge, and other comforts. Although we only stayed one night, camping in Monteverde is a very unique experience. The stars were brighter, the cloud forest climate was more intense, and it made for an incredible bonding experience with my partner.
Although the grounds and accommodation wasn’t what I was expecting, having camped many times before, I would give that a 2/5, the friendliness and easygoing nature of the hosts was a 4/5, which makes my overall rating a 3/5.

Location: ideal como basecamp ya que hay cataratas, adventure park y hikes para hacer muy cerca

Camping:

? ideal es tiendas de suelo para aprovechar el deck que tienen. El deck es increíble ya que tiene una muy buena vista y de noche las estrellas se ven totalmente

? si tienen tienda de techo pueden usarla en el parqueo

Nous y sommes allés le 16 mars 2022. Les proprios ne sont pas sur place. Pas d’indications au chemin pour aviser que le camping est là. Endroit laissé à l’abandon. Nous étions 2 véhicules et l’autre couple avait déjà payé leur réservation, mais nous ne sommes pas resté là. L’entrée du camping n’est pas visible et le terrain à l’air d’un dépotoir. Je vous recommande le camping Verde qui est un peu plus loin après la ville de Monteverde.

Es muy seguro el lugar para acampar , se puede observar el Golfo de Nicoya.
De noche se pueden ver algunas luciernagas y se escuchan gran cantidad de animales de vida silvestre.
Hay caminatas guiadas y lo mejor es la historia del arbol magico .
Se puede compartir en burbuja social del area de la cocina.
