Belvada Hotel - Tonopah, Nevada

Beautiful historic hotel. The room was spacious. The bed was super comfortable and lots of pillows. There were extra towels and they were very soft. The room was so great that when we checked out we booked the exact room for our return trip. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Beautiful front lobby with a nice adjacent coffee shop. We loved this hotel. I can't believe anyone could give this place a bad rating.

So, so many positive things to say about the Belvada but, in brief, the staff (everyone, but especially Mallory and David), the hotel and its history (as told to us by Mallory and David) were far beyond fantastic. Over the holidays, the lobby was decorated as if recreated from a Dickens novel and – as a previous reviewer mentioned – the reading room / bank vault, just off the lobby, could be our home away from home.

The sister property across the street, the Mizpah Hotel, was great but (IMO) the Belvada eclipses it.

Delighted with our stay and we’ll be back.

A nicely restored bank building is now a historic hotel that is a wonderful change of pace from typical travel hotels. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very quiet and effective cooling unit, so unlike most chain hotel rooms. Guests have access to a very good gym next-door. Both staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Gorgeous rooms that felt both modern, but emulated Tonopahs boom town days. Love the in room coffee, Hulu tv set up, super comfy beds and linens, including luxurious robes to lounge around in. Staff was super nice and accomodating, they thought of everything to make our stay the best it could possibly be! Will be my new go to stop in Tpah!

I rode my Harley from Los Angeles to Tonopah and checked in to this hotel. Even though there is no bar and no restaurant, I was able to walk across the street and enjoy those amenities. There is an amazing couple of ladies who provide fresh hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches and rolls each morning which was great. This hotel was very clean, very nice, quiet and every staff member was kind, attentive and professional. If you’re looking to just relax, read, watch some TV and looking f9r the bar scene, this is it. Thank you all.

We were scheduled at the Mizpah for 3 nights and were hoping for some ghosts. Unfortunately, they were having some heating issues so we got moved to the Belvada. The one bright spot the night we got here was Mallory C. She was upbeat, pleasant, and understanding about my pet allergies. Mallory went in search of an ice bucket for us, and went to pick it up personally. And she ran to the Pittman to get us burritos one morning. Mallory is a top notch employee, and understands service better than most! I truly hope the two hotels are treating her well. She is THE REASON we are leaving a review despite our disappointment at not staying at the Mizpah.

All of that being said, The Belvada is a lovely hotel with well appointed rooms. Comfortable beds and tons of charm. I understand it is a higher end hotel than The Mizpah so ultimately we were happy.

Thank you for having us, and Mallory - you rocked it girl!! Keep being the wonderful, cheery person you were during our stay!! You will go far.

After our 3rd time visit here, we swear we will never come back again.

We stayed here last September. We liked this hotel because of all the antiques in the lobby and our room. Customer service was great.

We came back again this Monday as a stopover on our way to Las Vegas. The room was not as clean as before. The night-shift front desk lady was like a robot telling me the rules in the hotel. She assigned us on the second floor on the Main Street which was very noisy whenever there was a truck drove by the building.

On our way leaving Las Vegas, we booked this hotel again. It was the same night-shift worker. I asked for a quiet room this time. The room was not close to the Main Street. However, the heater on the ceiling does not work. I set the room temperature to 80F. After an hour, the room was still 68F. Therefore we called the front desk. The lady said she could call someone to come to fix it but it would take a while because this hotel doesn't have a handyman. We asked if we could move to another room. She said no other same type of rooms were available unless we paid $70 to upgrade. But I checked on Expedia immediately. The difference between the room we booked and other type is only $11. The room was cold and the front desk lady was not helping us. I called my credit card company which I booked the room through their travel portal. My credit card company is so great. They tried to call the booking agency to talk to Belvada Hotel. Of course, no response from Belvada because there is only one worker here. My credit card company canceled my booking and refunded me the money. I booked another hotel in Tonopah right away.

When we left Belvada Hotel, the front desk lady said she was planning to move us to another room. But we don't believe in her and just moved to the hotel across the road (one of the big hotel chain in America). We are so glad that we moved because the other hotel is so much better with fitness room and free breakfast.

Staying here this evening! Can’t believe the gorgeous rooms and lobby. Loved our front desk agent, and the entire vibe of the place! Will make this my spot every time I stay in Tonopah!
