Lovely accommodation, party of 9 with 2 dogs. Plenty of space, lovely sized kitchen and plenty of bedrooms to accommodate us all. Having the 2nd sitting room allowed us to set up TV in the other room for the kids to plug in nintendo. Having sky was a definite bonus as was the play room which all of the kids enjoyed. Had the weather been better, the garden would have been used more, but could appreciate the patio in our small window of sunshine would be a lovely suntrap in the warmer months. Overall Castle Douglas is a lovely little town, having the tescos so close is ideal and there are 4 butchers in the town for those who like a bit of haggis! We had a meal in the market inn which was lovely and a couple of drinks in the kings Arms.... again, lovely. ||Only a couple of minor things that could be improved upon - there are no bins in any of the bedrooms / bathrooms. The garden in my opinion isn't fully enclosed so you couldn't trust your dog to go out for a midnight wee without a lead. If a gate could be added to the patio this would allow you to let the dogs out at night without worrying about where they are. ||Overall - clean, spacious, plenty of parking, and enough seating for everyone to be comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Just home from a weekend celebrating my sisters 50th birthday at Albion House. What a stunning house, large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, spacious living rooms and play room for the kids. Massive kitchen table that we managed 17 people around. Kitchen very well equipped. Unfortunately weather wasn’t great so didn’t get to enjoy the massive garden and patio. Lovely welcome pack. Leanne & David great to deal with. Will certainly book here again.

Stayed at Albion House for my husbands 60th Birthday. There was 12 of us and the house was perfect for us. Lots of space, comfy beds, massive big kitchen which we were all able to eat in. Also dog friendly which was great for us. |We also found Castle Douglas a very friendly place with lovely cafes which were also dog friendly.|Went to the Market Inn for my husbands birthday dinner and had a lovely meal. The staff here went above and beyond for us, even giving a lift back to the house to the lesser able in our party.|Overall I would recommend the house as a great place to stay

We stayed at Albion House for a long weekend in mid July. There were 14 in our party and the house was perfect-we couldn’t have asked for anything more! The house is absolutely beautiful and gave us plenty of space to spread out. We were very lucky weather wise so enjoyed many hours out in the lovely garden and even managed a BBQ. There was a lovely homely feel and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. The house was perfectly situated with a supermarket a few minutes walk away, and the small town a little further. Would definitely recommend a visit to the Jewel in the Crown Indian restaurant-we got a take away and were beyond impressed!|All in all, a wonderful house that we hope to all return to!

We stayed at the Albion House B&B when attending my nieces wedding at the close by Threave Gardens. The owner is an absolute delight and could not have been any more friendlier. My wife and I had the double en suite which was very comfortable with its own separate sitting room, and my daughters had a twin en suite with a large bathroom and both rooms were clean and comfortable. There was also a large choice of breakfasts to choose from to suit anyone. Without doubt if ever staying in the area again, I would stay here.

A group of us stay here every year for our golfing week in this delightful part of the world. Albion House provides perfect accommodation for groups up to around 8 as it is split into 4 rooms, and allows access to 3 bathrooms, 2 lounges and 2 kitchens. Mrs Kirk´s delicious breakfasts and her warm welcome are always a highlight.

We stayed again in this very comfortable B and B in a beautiful old house surrounded by extensive gardens. Beds and beddings are of very high standard and so is the extensive breakfast served in a stylish dining room which overlooks the country gardens.We very much enjoyed our few days of stay at this welcoming place and hope to return there in the future.||We can definitely recommend this jewel of a place.
