The place is beautiful but it has some drawbacks. The place is close in downtown and is conveniently located. Neatly decorated, immaculately clean. The rooms are decent sized but the beds are big and comfy.
The bed is something that will give you a good night sleep but the team next door will keep you up. Bring some white noise to get some decent sleep.
Another drawback is the parking. It is pretty steep for overnight parking.
But I did enjoy the stay.

Simply exceptional service. The staff at reception and housekeeping went above and beyond throughout my stay. I recommend the hotel highly for its quality rooms, professional service, and location. I stayed three nights, and this was my fourth stay over the years. My room was comfortable and quiet, with all the amenities required for a business trip. Perfect location for downtown.

This location is on a crazy street that is one way and has a cable train. The hotel is on the left side of the road. The parking lot is also on the left. You must get a ticket for parking before the attendant leaves or you are SOL.

The walk from the parking lot to the Hotel is a good walk so if you have someone with mobility issues that could get interesting. They charge you for parking automatically around $42.

The rooms are just okay. No vending machines and only ice machine. There are mini fridges in the room. The fitness room is decent. You can stay here if you are wanting to be near the college however be warned the streets are hard to navigate. It's hard to tell where the trains go and where cars go so stay vigilant. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and they seem to have an extensive menu. There are a food places nearby and i thought I saw a jazz spot. Decent pricing but there are other Marriotts close by if you are wondering which to go with. Next visit I'll do the other Marriott.

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in San Jose and had a mixed experience. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had basic amenities like a mini fridge and a simple coffee machine, but it was quite small.

Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the incessant noise from the light rail train passing nearby. The train’s bell rings were extremely loud and frequent—28 rings (yes, I counted) every couple of minutes from as early as 5 AM until around 1 AM. Sleeping through that was almost impossible.

The hotel also has very limited food options—just snacks—so don’t expect much in terms of dining. Considering I paid $517 for the stay, I expected more in terms of comfort and amenities.

Overall, while the room itself was decent, the noise and lack of value for the price really dampened the experience. Good luck if you stay there!

I had called ahead of time about two days before to confirm my booked reservation and confirm all the total costs and the separate additional costs for parking per night was not mentioned at all when I spoke to staff on the phone. In addition, the Mosaic Restaurant part of Four Points by Sheraton hotel was closed for breakfast and when I booked my reservation weeks and weeks ago, this free breakfast was supposed to be included as part of the price for my hotel stay. I would not stay here again but I would highly recommend that they be more transparent and upfront when customers book a stay what exactly is included for total costs and what are separate extra costs. I was very disappointed that I find out when I arrive the night of I had to pay separate additional fees for parking per night (not included as part of the stay) plus find out the morning of there is no breakfast included for the high price of my stay as well.

The staff were exceptionally nice and friendly. The hotel is motel plus level. No glasses, plastic cups. One bottle of water in the room, not two. Coffee maker with broken parts. Toilet about 2 feet from bed and a sliding door, no fan in bathroom. One side table and “bedside lamp” with an outcrop of wall between it and the bed, about 1 foot away from bed and not accessible from bed. Parking is &42 per day outdoor not secured lot. Westin close by is more of a 4 star, not 5, but better. And our search for a great hotel in downtown San Jose continues.

You won’t sleep at all. The rooms are right next to the transit system (light rail) that run every 15-20 minutes from 5am until 1:15am and “ding” loudly as they arrive and depart.

The bars are open until 2am, and are a block away, so 1st St. gets rowdy from about 12pm-2am. The bikers also like to rev their engines loudly as they race down the one way street next to the light rail to hear the concussion of noise they create against the narrow street’s buildings. This went on until about 2am.

The pillows are worthless (either lumpy, or super soft). The gym is a joke. TV channels are very limited, with no HBO, Cinemax, etc and you can’t stream from your own device to the TV. The room is dated, and all the furniture is scratched up (and oddly, there is a stand-in shower AND a separate tub shower in the bathroom). Right after getting to my room and noticing I was next to the transit line, I asked to be moved to the other end the hotel in hopes it would be quieter. The woman at the front counter told me the hotel was completely booked without even looking at her computer to verify this, and handed me a pair of earplugs.
