Our recent stay in the Darcy Room at De La Vina Inn exceeded all expectations! The thoughtful combination of historic charm and modern comfort created an unforgettable experience. The king-sized bed was exceptionally comfortable, but what truly set this room apart was the luxurious bathtub and private terrace overlooking the front garden--perfect for enjoying morning coffee while listening to birds.
The inn's location is ideal. We could easily walk to Santa Barbara's fantastic restaurants and attractions, yet the property felt like a peaceful retreat. The garden areas are beautifully maintained and create a serene atmosphere. We particularly appreciated the secure keycode access system, which made coming and going effortless.
What impressed us most was the attention to detail throughout the property. From the cozy common areas to the immaculately kept gardens, every aspect of De La Vina Inn has been carefully considered. The room itself struck a perfect balance between historic character and modern amenities, making our stay both authentic and comfortable.
If you're looking for an intimate, charming alternative to larger hotels in Santa Barbara, the Darcy Room at De La Vina Inn is an absolute gem. We're already planning our next visit!

We were just spending a quick overnight visit, and wanted somewhere centrally located to downtown and close to airport, and affordable for Santa Barbara. My husband stumbled upon this inn and we were so pleased he did.
Communication was excellent, responded to any questions or inquiries we had.
Rooms were comfy and love the fact that you had your own entrance. Accessible to inside the house and rooms with code. Backyard was adorably lit up. Too bad it wasn’t a little warmer so we could take advantage of it.
Would highly recommend and definitely stay in the future.

I had the most amazing experience at the De La Vina Inn. There's no staff onsite, but Humberto made the check-in process so easy.

The penthouse was the most dreamy and magical room I've ever stayed in; the patio was the perfect place to watch the sunset and relax. The overall inn was well-maintained and beautifully designed, and the proximity to downtown was so convenient. The De La Vina Inn will definitely be my future go-to when traveling to Santa Barbara.

This is a lovely Inn, just off of State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. So quiet and peaceful. It’s close proximity to both the beach and shops, bars restaurants etc.
The host was very responsive and helpful when needed.

This was the best short term rental experience we’ve ever had. We thought it would be difficult to house eighteen family members together but Casa de la Vina was a splendid choice. Everyone had their own bedroom with ensuite bathroom, the kitchen well appointed, and we were all able to eat together around the dining table or sit together in the lovely garden. The house itself is charming. Best of all, the host was exceptionally gracious. The dishwasher stopped working while we were going out to the wedding. The host had someone out to fix it within hours, before we returned to the house.

I loveddddd our one night stay here. Room was clean, complimentary wine, fresh linen. Literally everything was perfect. So much charm in the Darcy Room and overall Inn. I can’t wait to come back.

The hotel manager called on my way there and asked me if I had ever been to Santa Barbara before. They gave me all sorts of recommendations including where to run! They continued to check up via text message and answered all my questions! Even a question I meant to sent to someone else!! It was the best customer service I've had at a hotel possibly ever. I used to travel a lot for work and I'm not a fan of the big hotel chains, and a concierge is usually pretty awkward, I much prefer this experience (texts and keyless entry). This room was small but had character, including a fireplace and a bottle of wine for us! It comes with a parking spot which is nice and it's only a couple blocks from State st. Price was affordable too. Will stay again next time I'm in Santa Barbara.

Looooved the service. It was super cute and cozy. They contacted me in advance to share recommendations and make sure everything was set or if additional accommodations were needed. Everything was walking distance and the location was perfect! I have never had an amazing stay like this before
