We stayed here for one night, and had the most wonderful experience. The entire staff were all so helpful and kind. The room was very spacious and cozy. The bed was very comfortable.
It was about a 15 minute walk to the main downtown area. We knew that going in though, and enjoyed walking to/from dinner. The complimentary breakfast was lovely. The chocolate croissant was so flaky and delicious! The orange juice was excellent. Between the two of us we got the quiche and granola with fruit. They were both tasty.
My only regret was that we just stayed one night. I am already looking forward to making it back there again one day!

Loved this little B&B so close to downtown and campus. It is a little bit on the outskirts of downtown but still sooo close that I considered it basically in the town. ||We had a queen and sofa bed because we had our dog. The rooms, bathrooms are all very upscale. The shower was amazing with an overhead and handheld. The toiletries smelled amazing. The minibar was stacked with high end items even though we didn’t take anything. The furnishings feel nice and the bathrobes were very cozy. ||The outside shared spaces were super relaxing and felt like you were Ina. French bistro and garden patio. The free breakfast was perfect-my son preferred banana chocolate pancakes and I had the oatmeal. They had fresh pastries, fruit, coffee, tea buffet. All in all we felt pampered there for a room close to town that is dog friendly.

We booked Petit Soleil for friends and family to stay over our daughter's wedding weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. First of all, Dante and the entire staff were so wonderful during the planning process, quick to respond to questions and offer assistance and suggestions. But that did not prepare us for the over-the-top hospitality we experienced. The common areas, inside and out, were so welcoming and the service so amazing, it was like being at home (only better, because everyone else did the work!). The food was delicious -- evening appetizers and so many breakfast goodies. The well-stocked bar was a bonus, and one night when we didn't want to go out they accommodated our take-out meal by providing plates etc and cleaning up afterwards. Always with a smile and kindness. If you need a home away from home in SLO, look no further.

A truly special place. Very welcoming, proactively helpful, highly engaging staff combined with a commitment to make each customer touch special. So many things about this boutique hotel provide a very unique and memorable experience from their bar and happy hours to the incredible smell of a French bakery and gourmet breakfast every morning. Many peaceful and inviting courtyards and rooms with a flare. Location is fantastic with a short walk to downtown. We had planned on trying new hotels each visit, but that went out the window after this stay, we’re coming back!

Back in my hometown for my birthday! This was excellent place to lay our heads. Decor is stunning, staff is delightful, location is convenient. So many things in walking distance! Our room was adorable, the mattress and pillows were perfect and I am a snob, best nights sleep I have ever had at a hotel. Minor detail; the king suite we were in is on the ground floor on the street side so lots of foot traffic by our windows. Mostly during the day so it didn’t bother us but something to consider.
We will definitely stay here again!!

Petit Soleil was amazing!!! It was our final stop after a 6 day road trip down the coast of CA and we wish we would have been at this hotel longer than 1 night! It was by far the best hotel we stayed at and somehow the cheapest in price. I couldn't believe how affordable it was and then when we were checked into our room, I was so pleasantly surprised with the modern finishes, large room and overall high-quality experience. We loved the complimentary breakfast and wine/charcuterie happy hour. The staff was so friendly and gave great recommendations for the area. It was a 12 minute walk into town and we loved the town! Overall such an amazing stay and we will definitely stay here again if we visit San Luis Obispo!

Felt very welcomed when we arrived by Ashley! Sat around the fire pit when we arrived (super cozy). Very dog friendly. Which is perfect for us because we take our two pups with us everywhere. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
